Proud to have a poem published in this issue! My poem "16th Street Baptist Church, 1963" is on page 16...Please click on the following link to go to their site and read their Summer 2011 issue: Current Issue.

I'm running down this dream one poem at a time. ;) Andrea

  1. Congratulations on having your poem published! Your poem was concise yet extremely thought provoking and powerful... my favorite kind of poem! I still have goose bumps, or emotional shivers as I like to refer to them as.

I actually visited your blog to retract my harsh words about the pointlessness of Twitter. I just read an interesting and insightful blog post about the "power" and "impact" of Twitter. If you sense some bitterness, then you would be correct. I still don't like it, but I GUESS it can be useful (my inherent stubbornness alive and well). 2. Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments! I appreciate you reading my poem in Flashquake. The magazine is wonderful!

No hurt feelings over your Twitter comments either. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and opinions can change. ;) I'm glad you've seen a brighter (or at least more promising) side of it. Thanks for the link as well. I'm off to check it out.

    Hope you are well! Andrea

  4. Thanks for the links. Glad you are taking a liking to social media. More than anything, focus on connecting with others, don't focus on the numbers.

    Have a great weekend, Andrea
